Le présent ouvrage retrace d’abord l’origine biblique de cette représentation iconographique de la généalogie du Christ et son emploi dans la littérature chrétienne ancienne et médiévale. Il montre ensuite combien l’Arbre de Jessé de Kerfeunteun est particulièrement original et unique parmi les chefs d’œuvres du siècle d’or du vitrail en Bretagne.
