Ce bréviaire se trouvait à la paroisse Saint-Thomas de Landerneau, dépendant de la cathédrale Saint-Corentin à Quimper, donc Cornouaillais, comme le confirme le choix des saints du manuscrit. Subject The topic of the resource Saint-Thomas de Landerneau est un prieuré dépendant de l’abbaye Notre-Dame de Daoulas, de l’ordre des chanoines réguliers de Saint-Augustin. « Après les six premiers [antiennes], consacrés aux rubriques qui règlent l’ordre de l’office, vient l’antienne du premier dimanche de l’Avent, avec l’hymne Conditor alme siderum. Cette partie du bréviaire se termine par la solennité de la dédicace des églises. Le sanctoral commence par l’office de saint André (30 novembre) et comprend 165 feuillets. Il s’achève par l’office de saint Thècle (23 septembre). Pas de calendrier. Le bréviaire honore sainte Anne par un office spécial, Samson et Turiau. Ronan est gratifié de neuf leçons propres tout comme Tudgual. Corentin est mieux partagé ; il a non seulement neuf leçons spéciales, mais encore des antiennes, versets et répons propres. Toutefois l’office le plus soigné est celui de saint Yves. Il est complet, avec son hymne des vêpres : Gaude mater ecclesia et exulta Britannia, son hymne des matines : Exultet gens catholica, letetur plebs britannica, son hymne des laudes : Yvo quis tibi debitas sufficit laudes solvere. Le rédacteur du volume n’a point négligé les deux fêtes de saint Thomas de Cantorbéry, tant celle de la fin de décembre que celle de la translation de ses reliques, en juillet ». "Inventaire des manuscrits de la bibliothèque de l’évêché Bréviaire dit de Landerneau, manuscrit du commencement du XVe siècle, sur vélin. Il était déjà en possession du presbytère de St Houardon lorsqu’il fut consulté en 1876 par dom Plaine. Il y manque quelques feuilles dont plusieurs ont dû être coupées pour en avoir les miniatures, c’est ainsi qu’à disparu la première page de l’office de la conception de Notre-Dame. Le bréviaire est divisé en office du temps et e, office des saints, sans le psautier. C’est un bréviaire à l’usage du diocèse de Cornouaille, on y trouve un certain nombre de leçons des saints qui y sont honorés, tandis que ceux du Léon sont fort rares. Le fait d’avoir trouvé ce bréviaire à Landerneau nous fait présumer qu’il a été écrit par un religieux augustin de l’abbaye de Daoulas qui possédait le prieuré de Saint-Thomas ; et il est à noter que ce saint a sa fête marquée à la fin de décembre et au jour de la translation de ses reliques au mois de juillet. Ce manuscrit de 15 centimètres de hauteur a été déposé à l’évêché de Quimper par M. Fleury, curé de Landerneau [entre 1880 et 1913]." Dans une autre note conservée aux archives le chanoine Peyron indique que le bréviaire a "appartenu à M. Serré curé de cette paroisse [entre 1868 et 1880] puis vicaire général de Quimper. C'est à Landerneau même que dom Plaine et M. de Laborderie ont eu le loisir de l'examiner et de l'étudier." Le bréviaire a été déposé, selon l'abbé Duine, vers 1904 à l'évêché de Quimper. Outre l’exemplaire conservé à l’évêché de Quimper, un autre se trouve à la bibliothèque nationale de France (cote <a href="http://catalogue.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/cb36817933x/PUBLIC" target="_blank">B 27 804</a>). Sur cet exemplaire, Les feuillets CXXX et CXXXVI du Propre du temps et XXX du Commun, qui manquaient, ont été remplacés par des phototypies prises sur l'exemplaire de ce Missel conservé à l'évêché de Quimper. Le feuillet XXX du Commun contient le cérémonial du mariage, avec un texte breton (premier texte breton imprimé, après le Catholicon de Jehan Lagadeuc (1464)). Cet exemplaire provient de la bibliothèque de M. Natalis de Wailly, membre de l'Institut ; il a été acheté en 1896, par M. Léopold Delisle, pour le riche dépôt de la rue Richelieu. Un deuxième exemplaire a appartenu à M. de Courcy, disparu aujourd’hui. Le dernier feuillet de ce missel nous apprend que l'ouvrage fut imprimé en 1526, à Paris, par Nicolas Prévost, aux frais d'Yves Quilleveré, et qu'on adapta la liturgie léonarde à la liturgie parisienne (prefateque ecdesie ritui adaptatum). - Parmi les gravures, une représente S.
